Diamantes, bright feathers and superhero masks were all on show recently at the Dinner Under the Stars event.
Held on June 2, the event's masquerade theme was embraced by the 436 students who live on campus at .
Another tradition is the judging of dance music videos created by each of the four halls: Riddell, Thynne, Shelton and Pitt.
Thynne resident Talitha de Senna Fernandes was heavily involved in the creation of the winning video.
"Our dance video was definitely a group effort, we used our Thynne Facebook page to gather everyone's ideas and come up with our concept," Ms de Senna Fernandes said.
"We used zombie costumes and brought in some Thriller dance movies which made it a lot of fun to put together."
Entries are encouraged to involve a cross-section of the residential student community.
"It's a great competition which shows the creative side of each of the halls, builds rivalry in a friendly way and we found it added to our community," Ms de Senna Fernandes said.
"It was great to have a night where all of the students that live on campus got together and the food was amazing."
Best dressed prizes were also awarded on the evening.
Dinner Under the Stars is held at the end of Semester One each year to celebrate Halls of Residence students who graduate in the middle of the year.
