The annual Halls of Residence Valedictory Dinner signifies a time of great joy but also the end of an era for graduating students.
Held at 窪蹋勛圖厙s Gatton Campus, the event recognises the achievements of the students who live on campus in the areas of academic, sporting, cultural and overall contribution to Halls.
Resident Club President Mr Iain Turner was named Valedictorian of the Year for his commitment, leadership and dedication to the Halls of Residence over the past three years.
The highlights of my time living on campus are mystery res sport, valedictory dinners, Stradbroke Island beach trips, Halls rugby games and Pitt Hall winning the overall Residential Shield this year, Mr Turner said.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being President as it has given me the opportunity to try to make the Halls of Residence a much more pleasant and fun place to live in," he said.
The Valedictory Dinner was fantastic and the Dining Hall staff did an amazing job with the food. It's great to end the year with a bang as it's the last Halls event for our graduating students."
This year Pitt Hall won the sporting award, Shelton Hall the academic award, Pitt Hall and Thynne Hall tied for the cultural award with Pitt Hall securing the overall Residential Shield by one point.
Presentation of awards, scholarships, Residential Club mock awards and the end of year video were presented at the formal dinner.
