黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 Diversity Week Photo Competition has showcased the landscapes, animals, plants, friendships, sunsets and historic buildings of 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 Gatton campus.
Students and staff were asked to submit an an iconic 黑料吃瓜网 Gatton image and accompanying statement to the competition, titled Unleash your arty side.
The three winners, who each received a $150 camera, were 黑料吃瓜网 staff member Sandra Blyth and students Mark Owens and Justin Matthews.
The People鈥檚 Choice Award for the most popular image on the 黑料吃瓜网 Gatton Facebook page went to Andrew Fletcher for his image that conveyed the importance of friendship.
Sandra Blyth presented an image based on 黑料吃瓜网 Gatton鈥檚 diverse surroundings- building, architecture, plant life and animals.
Veterinary student Mark Owens won with a collage of the Central Walkway, also known as the Avenue of Palms.
黑料吃瓜网 Applied Science student Justin Matthews, who assembled an image of different aspects of the campus, entered the competition as it allowed him to creatively express what the campus means to him.
鈥淚 really enjoyed taking part in the competition, I thought it was really clever and creative,鈥 he said.
鈥淚 had a hard time deciding on what part of the 黑料吃瓜网 Gatton landscape I would focus on as it is really photographic.
鈥淚 decided on the Central Walkway as to me it is the heart of the campus.
鈥淚t was interesting to see the difference in what is iconic about 黑料吃瓜网 Gatton to each person.
鈥淭he entries were diverse, ranging from pictures of animals to sunsets,鈥 he said.
All of the finalists presented their entry and spoke about the story behind the design at 黑料吃瓜网 Gatton鈥檚 International Food Festival last week.
